WaveLocus recording review
What it does
WaveLocus checks the digital levels of short voice recordings in your browser. The ChatGPT integration helps explain the measured findings and the next action. Start a recording review from your connected WaveLocus plugin in ChatGPT, open its browser link, approve the matching connection and add your excerpts.
You can also check recordings locally without an assistant connection. Sharing requires a connection started from your assistant.
Supported excerpts
Check up to three mono or stereo excerpts, each up to 60 seconds and 16 MiB. WAV is supported. MP3, M4A/AAC and FLAC depend on your browser's decoding support. Review each recording separately. Different takes are not a controlled before-and-after comparison.
Measurements and limits
The report includes sample peak, whole-excerpt RMS, full-scale samples and DC offset. A partial narration-level reference helps interpret those levels. It is not a universal recording target or complete publishing approval. The check does not measure LUFS, true peak, background noise, room echo or intelligibility. No detected full-scale samples does not prove an absence of clipping or distortion.
Optional volume adjustment
Where eligible, you can approve a bounded linked gain change and download a new WAV copy. Your original file is unchanged. This changes volume, not inherent audio quality. It cannot remove noise or repair clipping. Listen and recheck before using the result.
